Borno Governor, Prof Babagana Umara Zulum, over the weekend, supervised the distribution of the sum of N221,760,000 in money in addition to meals gadgets and wrappers to over 67,454 susceptible residents of Ngala Native Authorities Space.
The Governor arrived Ngala on Saturday the place he spent two nights coordinating humanitarian and developmental actions within the native authorities space.
The distribution came about at 5 centres in Gamboru, Wulgo, and Ngala, the key communities housing hundreds of internally displaced individuals from two native authorities areas that fled as a consequence of actions of Boko Haram insurgents.
The train began on Sunday with 44,352 girls beneficiaries every receiving the sum of N5,000 in money and a wrapper, whereas 23,102 male heads of households every obtained one bag of rice and one bag of maize grain on Monday.
The Governor mentioned, “Yesterday (Sunday), we distributed non-food gadgets to about 44,352 girls in Ngala Native Authorities Space. Every of them acquired N5,000 and a wrapper.”
“This morning (Monday), we’re distributing meals gadgets to 23,103 male heads of households. Every of them will obtain one bag of rice and one bag of maize to cushion their hardship,” Zulum mentioned.
The Governor expressed gratitude to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for supporting Borno State Authorities with donation of about 10,000 baggage of rice by means of the Nigerian Customs Service.
