The College of Ibadan, Ibadan, Oyo State, on Sunday, described as baseless the story making the rounds that some pretend professors had been recognized within the establishment.
The PUNCH studies {that a} purported listing from a authorities company has been in circulation containing names of some professors who’re mentioned to be pretend.
The college, in a press release by the Registrar and Secretary to Council and Senate, Ganiyu Saliu, in Ibadan, the state capital, mentioned the names on the listing weren’t bona-fide members of the establishment.
“The administration of the College of Ibadan learn with dismay the baseless story making the rounds that some pretend professors had been recognized within the College. The administration categorically states that not one of the professors listed have ever been listed as workers of the college. Biennially, the College of Ibadan publishes its calendar whereby all of the names of the bona fide educational workers are listed. These names aren’t on the Calendar.
“Members of the general public are enjoined to ignore such tales because the College of Ibadan would by no means jeopardise the integrity of its educational programmes by parading pretend professors,” the assertion added.
