The management and staff of the Ondo State government owned University of Medical Sciences (UNIMED), Ondo on Thursday celebrated the immediate past Registrar of the university, Dr Woleola Ekundayo.
Ekundayo who served as the Registrar of the university from January, 2020 completed his term in January this year, having served the university meritoriously.
At a send forth programme organized for the outgone Regiatrar by the management of the university, the Vice Chancellor, Prof Adesegun Fatusi extolled the uncommon virtues of the former Regiatrar and urged other members of staff of the university to emulate him.
A statement released by the Public Relations Officer of the university, Mr Isaac Oluyi indicates that the event, which had the Principal Officers, Deans, Heads of Departments, staff (academic and non-academic) in attendance, was used to extol the exemplary leadership qualities of the former Registrar.
The Vice Chancellor said “Dr. Ekundayo is an authentic person with a balanced view of life whose connection with the people contributed immensely to the growth of the university.”
He added that “the former Regiatrar is a dependable colleague whose wealth of experience as an administrator was evident during his time as the university Registrar.”
Speaking, the former Regiatrar expressed gratitude to the management and staff of the university for the honour done him.
He said “there can never be a good principal officer without a good Vice-Chancellor. All that had been said about me here today was because the University has an outstanding Vice-Chancellor who is a team player.”
