Gospel singer, Mercy Chinwo, has denied claims that she sued her former manager, Ezekiel Onyedikachi, also known as EeZee Tee, saying the former manager was playing the victim game as he was the one who took her to court.
In a recent video shared on Instagram on Tuesday, Chinwo revealed that her former manager spread lies about her, including false claims about the paternity of her child. She also shared how her ex-manager’s actions allegedly made her feel unsafe, forcing her to move from Lagos to Port Harcourt.
She said, “A man claimed I sued him. Came online, made videos to tarnish my image. He looked at me and said, ‘I made you who you are, and I will destroy you.’ I became scared of my life, and it got to a point where I had to move from Lagos to Port Harcourt because this man made the environment toxic for me.”
Chinwo also spoke about the bullying and threats she endured from her former manager.
“I’ve endured bullying. I’ve endured threats. Whatever he is doing on social media now is nothing compared to what I went through.”
The gospel singer also addressed rumours that her ex-manager spread false stories about Pastor Nathaniel Bassey being the father of her child, saying he did this out of his dislike for Bassey.
“One of my major crimes was when I did a song with Pastor Nathaniel Bassey. Because this man hates Pastor Nathaniel Bassey, you went as far as sponsoring fake news about an innocent child, my son. And you said my son was not my son. And you paid bloggers because you hate Pastor Jerry Eze. You didn’t want me to go for his event. The people you fight, I must fight them with you?”

She added that the ongoing legal battle with her ex-manager, Ezekiel Onyedikachi, also known as EeZee Tee, began in 2019 when Chinwo refused his request to extend her contract. A statement from her lawyer, Pelumi Olajengbesi, described how her former manager continued to intimidate and isolate her.
The statement read, “EeZee Tee continues to intimidate her, isolating and bullying her, misleading people, inviting her for events about her availability.”
