Bauchi State Governor, Sen. Bala Mohammed Abdulkadir, has declared that religious harmony remains a cornerstone for national progress, growth, and development in all aspects.
The governor made the declaration on Saturday while addressing thousands of worshippers at the 49th Annual Maulud Anniversary of Sheikh Ibrahim Nyass, held at the Sir Abubakar Tafawa Balewa Memorial Stadium, Bauchi, drawing faithful from across Nigeria and Africa.
He also reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to promoting and supporting religious activities aimed at fostering peace and unity across the state.
The governor lauded members of the Tijjaniya sect for their peaceful conduct, dedication to spiritual growth, and contributions to societal harmony.

He urged the sect members to continue praying for the peace, unity, and development of Nigeria, calling on all citizens to join hands in building a stronger, more united nation through mutual respect and understanding across religious divides.
The governor’s remarks, expressing gratitude to the organizers for hosting the event and for their continuous prayers for peace and development, highlighted the importance of collaboration in promoting prosperity.
Sayyadi Ibrahim Sheikh Dahiru Usman Bauchi delivered the vote of thanks, while Sheikh Mahi Ibrahim Nyass gave an inspiring speech during the celebration.
The event featured the Grand Khalifa of the Tijjani sect, Sheikh Muhammad Mahi Nyass, alongside the Emirs of Bauchi and Misau, as well as other dignitaries, including top government officials and community leaders.
Highlights of the Maulud celebration included the presentation of the history and teachings of Sheikh Ibrahim Nyass and the recitation of the Holy Quran.
The celebration, centered around the legacy of Sheikh Ibrahim Nyass, featured speeches by esteemed leaders, including Sayyadi Ibrahim Sheikh Dahiru Usman Bauchi and Sheikh Mahi Ibrahim Nyass.
