Governor Mai Mala Buni has directed security agencies to identify and block all loose ends to check the excesses of hoodlums in Ngalda area and across the state.
Buni, according to a statement by his spokesman, Mamman Mohammed, gave the directive while reacting to an armed robbery incident which occurred on Monday at Ngalda weekly market in Fika local government area.
The governor who also dispatched a high powered delegation to commiserate with the families and victims of the armed robbery, directed immediate support to the affected persons to provide succor to the families of the deceased and those who sustained injuries.
“You should do a thorough investigation, check the loopholes to guard against future occurrence, just as you don’t spare those involved,” the governor directed.
The suspected armed robbers reportedly struck at around 9:00 pm after the close of the market on Monday.
Some people were reportedly killed, including three members of the robbery gang, while others sustained injuries and are now receiving treatment at General Hospital Fika.
