Governor Mohammed Umaru Bago of Niger State has expressed gratitude to the people of the Suleja local government area of the state for their overwhelming support of his administration and assured them of the dividends of democracy.
He stated this at the open space of the Suleja Emir’s Palace in Suleja when he rounded up his statewide visit and project monitoring.
The Governor said his visit was to inspect ongoing projects in the local government and feel the pulse of the people.
He said the list of requests from the local government Council presented to him will be looked into with the view to addressing them.
The Governor reassured the people of Suleja that his administration will continue to execute meaningful projects considering its proximity to Abuja, adding that a CNG gas station is being constructed for the refilling of the 100 CNG buses that will ply Suleja and Abuja route at subsidised fee for workers and free for Students.
He thanked the Niger East Senator, Mohammed Sani Musa for making a positive impact under Constituency projects in Suleja.
The Governor then revealed that the Senator will construct a standard stadium in Suleja, renovate Kwamba motor garage, build a skills acquisition centre and sponsor 20 Students in the area to study in Singapore.
He also disclosed that the Federal and State lawmakers from the area have agreed to support the State government with their Constituency projects funds for a robust infrastructural development in the local government
Niger East Senator, Mohammed Sani Musa appealed to traditional leaders in the Council area to stop meddling in political matters, but allow politicians to handle issues of politics.
He reassured the people of Suleja that farmer Governor Umaru Bago has their best interest at heart while urging them to continue to be patient and show understanding for more benefits.
The Madakin Zazzau Suleja, Shuaibu Gani, Comrade Murtala Badaru, and the Council Chairman, Isyaku Bawa Na’ibi, in their separate remarks, applauded the developmental projects of the farmer Governor in Suleja.
While pledging their unalloyed support to the Bago-led administration, they called for the quick completion of the projects.
Earlier, the Governor was received by the Emir of Zazzau Suleja, Mallam Muhammadu Awwal Ibrahim for royal blessings where the Emir appreciated the visit and reassured him that the Emirate will continue to provide good and wise counsel that would engender development.
