The Kano State government has charged the Nigerian Army 3 Brigade Kano to work in synergy with all sister security agencies in the state towards ensuring the sustenance of peace.
This was just as Governor Abba Yusuf stated that the contributions of this great and historic Brigade towards the maintenance of peace and tranquillity in the state cannot be taken for granted.
The Governor made the appeal during an interview with the press at the West African Social Activities (WASA) event hosted by the Commander of the 3 Brigade Infantry, Nigerian Army, at the prestigious Bukavu Barracks, Kano.
He said, “Today I am proud that Kano is one of the safest if not the safest in the Nation currently.
“Your unwavering loyalty, sacrifices and hard work are highly appreciated. So I urge you to keep doing good work.
”I implore you to work in collaboration with other security sisters to bring peace and harmony to our dear state.”
The Governor who was represented by the Director General Special Service AVM Ibrahim Umaru (Rtd) cited that the celebrating rich cultural heritage of West Africa, brought together military personnel, community leaders, and dignitaries in a vibrant display of unity and tradition.
Yusuf equally tasked the command of 3 Brigade to take very seriously during discharge of their primary duty to Kano state and it is environs.
The State Governor added that his administration will continue to give the Nigerian Army the maximum support at all times.
He further said that they appreciated the Chief of Army Staff (COAS), Lieutenant General OO Oluyede and the general officer commanding 1 division Nigerian Army also the Commander of 3 Brigades and all officers, soldiers and their families and all of those who presided over the time in all this Activities.
The governor said “The door is always open to table your requests and assured you that the government will keep doing the best that make Kano better in peace.
”Through collaboration and shared cultural experiences, the continent could achieve a more cohesive and harmonious society.”
He assured the state government’s continued support for the military in strengthening existing cordial relationships
