A chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Kwara state, Professor Wale Sulaiman, has described the Renewed Hope agenda of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu administration as a critical political strategy that is capable of elevating the country to an enviable reckoning in the comity of nations.
Speaking at a Kwara South stakeholders’ meeting in Esie, Irepodun local government area of the state on Sunday, Sulaiman also dispelled rumours of him leaving the ruling APC.
According to him, “President Tinubu’s renewed hope is real. The administration came at a time when we needed a focused leadership to steer the ship of the nation towards best global practices in governance.
Professor Sulaiman, who said that he is a “die-hard Asiwaju supporter”, added that he supports the role Asiwaju Tinubu is playing at the national level.
He said that such a role is being complemented by the leadership of Governor Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq in Kwara State.
The Kwara South stakeholders’ meeting, facilitated by APC Kwara South Chairman and former House of Representatives member in Lagos State, Hon. Olayemi Olabanji, emphasised the need for unity of purpose to strengthen the APC in the seven local governments in Kwara South district.
He said that the gathering was to formally dispel rumours that Professor Sulaiman had left the APC.
Sulaiman also assured the leadership of the senatorial district and members of the party of his support.
He reaffirmed his support for Governor Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq, the APC at the state and senatorial district, reiterating his commitment to Nigeria, President Tinubu’s leadership and the APC.”
