He also commended President Bola Tinubu for granting full financial autonomy to the third tier of government.

The forum chairman said that the meeting was organized to find ways and means of militating against the development of the local government areas.

He called on all sons and daughters of the local government to contribute positively to the development of the area.

Abdullahi reiterated the commitment of the forum which is peace, unity and development to improve governance and well being of the people of the Local government.

Baba Busu, who is also the Zonal Manager, News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) Minna said the importance of the forum can not be overemphasised

“As it promotes ideas that will entrench development and good governance in rural communities,” he said.

He assured of his continued support to the association to succeed.

On his part, the Guest Speaker who is also a former Lavun local government Chairman, Alhaji Abubakar Dauda Kutigi, shared his experience during his tenure as Chairman of the local government Council.
