The Director General of the National Directorate of Employment (NDE), Silas Ali Agara, has urged Nigerians to embrace unity, compassion, and collective efforts in tackling unemployment and poverty, as he sent warm Christmas greetings to the nation.
In his Christmas message on Wednesday, Agara emphasized the virtues of love, selflessness, and kindness exemplified by Jesus Christ, calling on Nigerians to show care to the less privileged while working together to build a united and prosperous nation.
Agara used the occasion to reiterate the NDE’s dedication to addressing unemployment and poverty through various initiatives. “Our focus remains on providing innovative vocational training, entrepreneurship programs, and agricultural skill development to empower Nigerians and improve livelihoods,” he stated.
He emphasized that these efforts align with President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda, which aims to foster economic growth and prosperity across the country. “We are committed to supporting the President’s vision of a better Nigeria through impactful programs that create opportunities for all,” Agara added.
The NDE boss also appealed to citizens to embrace peace and unity for the collective progress of the nation. “As we celebrate, let us recommit ourselves to building a united and prosperous Nigeria. Together, we can create a brighter future for everyone,” he said.
Agara extended his heartfelt wishes for a joyous Christmas and a prosperous New Year. “May this festive season bring love, joy, and renewed hope to our homes, and may the New Year usher in peace and unprecedented progress for our beloved country,” he concluded.
