In a bid to enhance punctuality and productivity, the Kebbi State Government has distributed motorcycles to no fewer than 50 domestic staff at the Government House.
The State Commissioner for Special Duties, Zayyanu Umar-Aliero, disclosed this during a press briefing after presenting keys to five beneficiaries at the Government House in Birnin Kebbi on Monday.
Speaking on the initiative, Umar-Aliero said, “We have distributed motorcycles to some of our staff working here in the Government House. This initiative is aimed at ensuring they are punctual in their duty posts.”
He further explained that the distribution is being done in phases.
He stated, “We distributed five today, and another set of five will receive theirs next week. So far, over 50 motorcycles have been distributed in batches to the domestic staff.”
The commissioner highlighted the gesture as part of Governor Nasir Idris’ commitment to creating an inclusive and supportive work environment.
“As far as work is concerned, the governor does not segregate, whether big or small, and regardless of where you come from. He ensures that all categories of workers feel valued and appreciated.
“This initiative is a testament to his benevolence and dedication to giving everyone a sense of belonging,” Umar-Aliero said.
He urged the beneficiaries to utilise the motorcycles responsibly, adding that the initiative reflects the governor’s vision of fostering a motivated and efficient workforce in the state.
