The Chairman, Nigerians in Diaspora Fee, Abike Dabiri-Erewa, on Thursday, mourned the dying of a 19-year-old Nigerian scholar, Afolabi Stephen, allegedly killed in Manitoba, Canada.
The PUNCH experiences that Stephen was allegedly killed by policemen on December 31, 2023 in Manitoba, Canada.
Although the small print of his dying are nonetheless sketchy, the Winnipeg, Manitoba Police Division, in a press release posted on its web site by way of Winnipeg.ca, stated its officers responded to a name a few younger male who was performing “erratically”.
The police famous that upon arrival, efforts to calm the younger man proved abortive which led to the discharge of a firearm by the police resulting in his dying.
