The Orile Kemta Community Development Association in Odeda, Abeokuta, Ogun State, has embarked on multiple projects to change the face of the community in the outgoing year.
The community development association, championed by Oluga Kingdom Development Association, has concluded plans to embark on face-lifting projects to bring the community people close to modern civilisation.
President of the association, Apostle Elijah Adefuyi Oluga, said all efforts at making the event fixed for December 14, 2024, successful has been finalised.
Its Secretary, David Olutope Kusimo, said all is set for the Saturday inauguration of some key projects.
“The borehole is operating. We laid pipes to strategic points of supply and we bought a generator to always pump water. We will be contributing to ensure sustainable pumping plus provision of fuel and maintenance all year round.
“We have cleared the site for the foundation laying of the Smart Clinic. A pilot eco-smart toilet construction is ongoing to be concluded on or before Friday, December 13, to be ready for commissioning. We have raised a project proposal to the small grant programme office of the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) to be implemented by a nongovernmental organisation (NGO) to complement current efforts on our smart village concept,” he said. Chief host and initiator of the December 14 event is Oba Ebenezer Adeoluwa Oluga, Olu of Oluga Kemta. Oluga Kingdom is a rural community within Orile Kemta in Odeda Local Government Area of Ogun State, predominantly an agrarian community, blessed with green vegetation spread across the Orile Kemta landscape.
