The Inspector-Common of Police, IGP Kayode Adeolu Egbetokun says the power has initiated measures to overview and doubtlessly enhance the pension regime for retired police personnel.
Arogidigba World Journal recollects that in 2023, the IGP had invited retired and serving law enforcement officials, in addition to pensioners to a gathering on the Power Headquarters, Abuja.

In a press release by ACP Olumuyiwa Adejobi, Power Public Relations Officer, Power Headquarters, Abuja, he stated the Inspector-Common of Police reassured all officers, each serving and retired, that the present administration prioritizes the enhancement of law enforcement officials’ welfare, notably regarding retirement advantages.
He stated the IGP remained resolute in guaranteeing a pension scheme that secures the monetary well-being of officers.
“The IGP, subsequently, requires calm amongst serving officers and retirees, urging all to align with the management of the power as efforts are underway to craft a pension regime that higher serves the pursuits of police retirees.
“Solidarity and cooperation with the Power’s management throughout this era will guarantee the event of a workable Police Pension Scheme that comprehensively addresses the wants of our esteemed retired Police Officers, and the betterment of all the police household in Nigeria,” the assertion added.
