… Inaugurate new executive council

Traditional Youths Chiefs Forum of Nigeria ( TYCFN) has vowed to work from thier respective domains to ensure the progress and development of the country under the administration of President Bola Tinubu.
Rising from their emergency congress meeting at the weekend in Kaduna where new executive council officials of the Forum were elected, promising to inject new ideas and programmes will benefit various States as well as the country at large.
Speaking with newsmen shortly after his election, the new chairman of the Forum, who is the Sarkin Samarin Lafia, Nasarawa State, Aliyu Yusuf Shehu expressed joy and gratitude to God and members of the Association for supporting him in the election, noting that it wouldn’t have been possible without their support.
“I’m calling on all my members across the country to come together and join hands so that we can chart a good course for our people, our different emirates, and the country at large.
“I would want all those who were called upon and decided to give me this leadership to please do not leave me alone.
“I need your support; I cannot do it alone; we must do it together. Every hand must be on deck to make sure that we succeed.
“A lot of things have bedeviled our great Association and I think it is time for us to inject new ideas, new programs that will not only benefit our various States but will benefit the country at large.
“I want to assure you that, all your cries, all that you desire for this noble association to move forward, by the special grace of Allah, we will all join hands as friends, as brothers, and most especially, as Kings that we are, to move not only our immediate Emirates forward but to also move the country at large.
“Our duty is to make sure that our immediate constituency, which is our various domains where we have people we lead, is to lobby our the government for our people and lobby our people for the Government.
“What we want is for our voices to be heard, it is for us to contribute our quota to the development of this society.
“We have tried in the past, and not because my predecessors did not do well; they did very well, even up to the last person.
“I thank you most sincerely and I also thank every member of this Association because this wouldn’t have been possible without you all.”
The new chairman stressed that the goal of his leadership is to ensure that all represented constituency in the Council is well supported to ensure a bright future for its people.
“I stand with mixed feelings because power belongs to Allah, and he gives it to whomever he wishes at any time, and I give all the praises to him.
“I thank you for finding me worthy of this exalted seat of the Chairman of this Council. I want to pledge my loyalty and support to every Sarki Samari (youth chiefs) in Nigeria.
The new Chairman, therefore, appealed to the members of the Association to not withdraw their support from him but to give their best in securing the future of the people they lead, adding that he alone cannot push the Association forward.
Speaking also, the Spokesperson of the Association, Usman Chanza Danjuma remarked that he had never witnessed a credible election like in the recent one.
He disclosed that the leaders of the Association had come together to dissolve the previous cabinet and then set up a fresh Committee to conduct a fresh election of which Lafia emerged victorious by a large margin.
The Spokesperson noted that the new Chairman, who is his bosom friend, is one capable of delivering the benefits of good leadership to his subject.
“He can lead, but my advice to him is that he should open his ears very well; he should be a leader of all, one that listens.
“A leader that picks people’s thoughts and a leader that can take advice from people, one whose vision is to unite the Nigerian Youths,” he said.
Similarly, the Director of Admin, Alhaji Saidu Ahmed Akire in his rating, judged the election as a perfect one.
According to him, the forum, since its inception from the past 14-15 years, has never witnessed a peaceful and transparent Election like the just concluded one.
He went on to describe the new Chairman as a gentle and trustworthy person, adding that he is a Man of few words.
“I know how competent he is, and I know that he is going to carry every one of us together. With this leadership, he is going to unite all the youths for the betterment of this Country,” he stressed.
