Niger State Government has sealed a partnership agreement with an International Agricultural Company, Jade Partners for the production of sesame on 5,000 Hectares.
The agreement was sealed in conjunction with Niger Foods and Security Systems and logistics Ltd at the Government House, Minna.
The project, supported by the Niger State Government, seeks to empower local farmers with modern farming techniques, inputs, guaranteed off-take for their harvests including creating job opportunities for the teeming populace and increase sesame output, all aimed at transforming Niger State into a hub for high-quality sesame cultivation.

Niger State Governor, Umaru Bago said the agreement is a reflection on the State Government’s commitment to driving agricultural development and creating opportunities for the people.
The Executive Chairman Niger Foods, Sammy Adigun described the initiative as a game-changer for farmers in Niger State as it will position the state as a leader in sustainable sesame production and in the long run, boost rural development and strengthen Nigeria’s role as a leading sesame exporter.
