Jigawa State Public Complaints and Anti-Corruption Commission (PCACC) has called for Traditional Leaders’ Intervention and support to end institutional corruption and injustice.
Chairman of the commission, Barrister Salisu Abdu made the call when the commission paid homage to the Emirs of Ringim and Kazaure on Thursday.
He said the commission was inaugurated in February by His Excellency, Mallam Umar Namadi with sole responsibility of investigating complaints from citizens against government agencies or private companies residing in the state
According to him, “the functions of the commission are among others, receiving complaints from individuals or groups on administrative injustice or poor service delivery, facilitating resolution through negotiation and dialogue between the complainant and the accused party, making recommendations for corrective action to the relevant authorities and monitoring compliance on recommendations for implementation.”
He said all the commission’s services were free and called for support from the royal fathers in areas of sensitization of people on the commission’s functions.
The Chairman said the commission, from inception to date, received over 200 complaints, out of which over 100 had been already resolved.
Responding, the Emir of Ringim, Dr. Abubakar Sayyadi, and Emir of Kazaure Najib Hussain, expressed joy over the commission’s activities which they said were in line with the Emirates’ responsibilities aimed at promoting accountability, transparency, and good governance.

The Emirs however assured support and commitment to the commission.
