The lawmaker representing Ondo Central Senatorial District, Senator Adeniyi Adegbonmire SAN, has praised President Bola Tinubu’s approval of the Federal University of Technology Akure [FUTA] Teaching Hospital.
The senator described the development as a significant boost to the healthcare sector in Akure and Ondo State and President Tinubu’s dedication to enhancing healthcare infrastructure across Nigeria.
The lawmaker praised the president’s efforts while emphasising their positive impact on Ondo State’s healthcare and education sectors. The university offers a wide range of undergraduate courses and programmes, including Agriculture, Engineering, Science, and Technology.
According to him, the Teaching Hospital project aligns with President Tinubu’s vision for quality healthcare in Nigeria, providing high-quality medical education and healthcare services to the people of Ondo State.
The senator, who is also the Chairman of the Senate Committee on Judiciary, Human Rights, and Legal Matters, stated that the Teaching Hospital project is a testament to the government’s commitment to providing quality healthcare to its citizens.
“The people of Ondo State can look forward to accessing world-class medicine.”
“In addition to medical services, the hospital will offer various ancillary services, including diagnostic, therapeutic, and support services. These services will include laboratory tests, radiology, and pathology.
“As the FUTA Teaching Hospital project takes shape, it is expected to have a positive impact on the healthcare and education sectors in Ondo State. The hospital will provide a platform for medical research, training, and practice, ultimately improving healthcare outcomes in the region,” he stated.
