The Chairman of Etsako East Local Government Area (LGA), of Edo State, Benedicta Attoh, at the weekend, said the retention of Abubakar Momoh as a minister in President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s cabinet was a testimonial of the minister’s industry in his erstwhile office at the Ministry of Nigeria Delta.
Momoh, it would be recalled, was retained by President Tinubu in last week’s cabinet reshuffle and was drafted to the newly redesigned Ministry of Regional Development, to supervise all regional development commissions.
The Etsako East LGA boss added that the retention of the minister would further the opportunity to expand Infrastructural development in the Etsako East LGA and Edo North just as she sued for collaboration.
Princess Attoh, in a press statement, added that the appointment was a confirmation of the well-recognised Momoh’s stewardship to the region as a member of Tinubu’s cabinet.
Part of the statement reads, “I write on behalf of the entire people of our North Ivie Communities for this Divine upliftment that has brought our microscopic Ivie Zone into national limelight. As an uncle and elder brother, we wish you the best as you continue to serve our nation meritoriously.

Your new appointment offers greater opportunity to heal all the infrastructural challenges that ails us as a people.
“As the former Minister of the Niger Delta Development Commission, (NDDC), you played your part exactly as envisaged hence the recognition as a Super coordinating Minister of the federation Regional Development.
“Beyond just being a minister, you represent the voice of every region in Nigeria and it’s our prayer and expectation that God will brace you up with his manifold mercies and Grace in exceeding expectations in your new task.
“I call on you to use your new office to deepen the relationship between every region and help in building lasting peace and unity across every region through developmental inter-connectivity projects to bind the nation together as one.”
