Lagos State governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, has arrested males using motorbikes plying one-way alongside the Lagos-Badagry Expressway.
The governor was on his approach to the inauguration of the Femi Gbajabiamila Convention Centre on the Ojo campus of Lagos State College, LASU, when the incident occurred on Tuesday.
Sanwo-Olu was seen in a now-viral video on the web leaping down from his automobile alongside his safety aides to impact the arrest of the offending officer and others.
Sharing the clip on his official X, the governor’s media aide, Wale Ajetunmobi, wrote, “Governor Sanwo-Olu effecting the arrest of the offending officer.”
Whereas being taken away by safety operatives, Sanwo-Olu stated, “Put him there, let your father come and rescue you.”
One of many offenders who claimed to be a soldier replied, “I’m a soldier, Oga sir.”
In response, Sanwo-Olu stated: “That’s the extra cause I’m going to lock you up. You’re telling me you’re a soldier. Ineffective boy. You’re telling me you’re a soldier. Lock him up.”
