The newly appointed Director, Public Relations and Information of the Nigerian Air Force (NAF), Air Commodore Olusola Akinboyewa, has assumed office.
He took over from the erstwhile spokesman, Air Vice Marshal(AVM), Edward Gabkwet, at a handing and taking over ceremony held at the NAF, headquarters in Abuja.
In his address at the occasion, Akinboyewa while commending the outgoing spokesman for the effort made to project the image of the NAF over the years, solicited for the support, synergy, and partnership of the media to achieve the mission of the directorate.
Akinboyewa, who said that the assignment given to him was a daunting responsibility, however, promised to put in his best to justify the confidence reposed on him with the support of the media.
“It is important to also mention that the successes that he has recorded would not have been possible if not for the support and the synergy that we enjoy from our partners, the media, your good selves.
“Without your support, without your cooperation, the successes would not have been possible.
“And so, I want to use this opportunity to solicit that that same support, that same partnership, that same synergy should continue”.
