Jigawa government governor, Malam Umar Namadi promised more developmental projects to the people in the state if voted for the All Progressive Congress (APC) in the October 5th local government councils elections in the state.
The governor made the plea in a speech delivered while flagging off the APC Jigawa Southeast Zonal campaign held at the ancient city of Hadejia, the state, said casting votes for APC flag bearer would enable the state government to continue implementing laudable development projects in rural and urban areas.
Namadi pleaded with the people of the state to come out en mass to cast their votes to the ruling All Progressive Congress (APC) candidates in all the 27 local government areas in the forthcoming local government council elections to disgrace the opposition political party and made the state have unified three tiers of government.
He explained that the APC-led administration is committed to improving social and economic life of people in the state through execution of various projects and programmes under our 12-point agenda, “therefore voting for APC candidates at all the 27 local government area will help us in our collective effort toward making Jigawa state Great”
According to him “I called on all good people of Jigawa state to vote for our party candidates as we have confidence on their loyalty patriotism, transparency and commitment for serving the state and humanity in according to our party philosophy and our 12 point agenda ” governor Namadi stated.
He reaffirmed his government’s promise to reduce the level of poverty by 10 percent every year and called on youth to imbibe the culture of farming as a business so as to create job opportunities, wealth creation and food security.
In his parts, the party chairman in the state, Hon. Aminu Sani Gumel charged party members to go to every village, town, city and houses to campaign for the party candidates as they have all evidence to show on the positive impacts of APC government in transforming Jigawa state in all soil and economic ramifications.
“We have confidence that, Jigawa people will overwhelmingly vote for our candidates, but since it is part of democratic tradition to go out for campaign during election period, so let us uphold the tradition and use it as time to meet and greet with all people of the state” Gumel stated.
In a welcome address, the chairman of the campaign council also the secretary to the state government, Malam Bala Ibrahim urged eligible voters to come out en-mass and vote for the party flag bearers so unify the three tiers of governments and have unified policies and programmes the world uplift their socioeconomic lives under the APC manifesto.
