Ogun State – The Gateway city is a famous global tourism destination for its Olumo Rock, a mountain in south-western Nigeria located in the city of Abeokuta, Ogun State.

The rock was used as a natural fortress during inter-tribal warfare in the 19th century with the help of ‘orisa’, a patron spirit worshipped in the Yoruba traditional religion.
Abia State – This God’s Own State in the South-East geopolitical zone of Nigeria is bordered to the northwest by Anambra State through the northeast of Enugu, and Ebonyi, Imo State to the west, Cross River State to the east, Akwa Ibom State to the southeast, and Rivers State to the south.
Abia State is famous for its Azumini Blue River, a popular natural resort in Azumini town. It is located some 15 miles south of the commercial city of Aba in Ndoki, Ukwa East LGA. Azumini is an ancient slave trade route through the blue river commonly known in local dialect as Mini-Okigo (Blue colour river). Amazingly, the original blue river often turns green during the rainy seasons.
Kebbi State – The Land of Equity as it is nicknamed is also blessed with the unique Yauri River in Yauri, a Local Government Area in Kebbi State, northwestern Nigeria. It is the location of the Yauri Emirate, one of the smallest historical emirates in Northern Nigeria. With its Yauri River comes the annual Rigata festival, a unique cultural extravaganza. The annual festival commences with captivating displays of cultural dances, music, wrestling, acrobatics, traditional magic shows, which is followed by thrilling water sporting competitions, and ends with a prestigious water display of the cultural conveyance of a bridal entourage. The festival initially started as a display of naval strength of the Gungu people, where the Gungu warriors annually attacked dangerous hippopotamus that was destroying farmlands. The warriors boarded various sizes of canoes with weapons to attack the animal on the River Niger. This activity required expertise and strength in canoe paddling and naval warfare. Sometimes, it served as a training exercise for upcoming Gungu warriors. However, over the years, many more interesting and captivating activities were added to the festival. Gombe State – This Jewel in the Savannah is highly sought after and visited for its Lake Dadin Kowa dam located about 37 kilometers to the east of Gombe town and 5 km from Dadin Kowa village. The dam provides drinking water for the town. Dadin kowa dam is an earth dam with a concrete spillway containing three gates that control the water level in the reservoir. The reservoir has a capacity of 800 million cubic meters of water and a surface area of 300 square km.
Jigawa State – With its Baturiya Bird Sanctuary, one would innocently think the state is nicknamed The New World due to the feeling of paradise that the bird sanctuary breathes on people. Baturiya Bird Sanctuary is Located in the Kiri Kassma area of Jigawa State, northern Nigeria. The sanctuary covers an area of 320 sq km with a buffer zone of a half km surrounding it.
This wetland area attracts birds from across the globe which is why the United Nations recognises the sanctuary as a tourist location of international significance. Baturiya Bird Sanctuary effortlessly pulls both birds and humans from all over the world to Kiri Kassma in Jigawa State.
This amazing sanctuary provides a natural habitat for over 378 species of migratory birds from far and near. It is a place where wildlife spectacularly blossoms for the world to behold.
Kano State – Nigeria’s Centre of Commerce marvels the world with its Dala Hill. It is 534 metres (1,753 ft) high and contains a stairway with 101 steps to the bottom.
Dala Hill is the core of Kano city as it was the place of the first settlement hereby the foundation of its all-round growth.
