Thirty-six graduating students of Oraifite Boys Secondary School, have been celebrated by the Sir Emeka Okwuosa Foundation (SEOF), in partnership with Oilserve Limited, for their outstanding academic and leadership achievements.
The awardees were chosen from various grades (JSS1 to JS3 and SS1 to SS3) and presented with prizes during the 2024 valedictory service of the school held in Oraifite, Anambra State.
Executive Director of SEOF, Chidimma Okoye, in her remarks, underscored education as a cornerstone of the foundation’s mission, stressing that events like this reflect their ongoing commitment to education and community support.
Okoye further stressed that education is not just a pillar of the foundation but also the essence of their commitment to transforming lives.
“The belief of Sir Emeka Okwuosa in the power of education inspired the establishment of Oraifite Boys Secondary School and continues to guide its mission and values,” she said.
The valedictory service was used to bid farewell to the outgoing principal of the school, Reverend Dr Charles Nnaemeka, for the work and service he rendered to the school and the community.
Okoye said the award was designed to “honour, motivate exceptional performance, and celebrate the students’ hard work and dedication throughout the academic year.”
The awards/prizes received were in the following categories: first position (N20,000 and a school bag), second position (N15,000), and third position (N10,000).
The foundation also acknowledged the dedication of the teaching staff with a token of N100,000.
In addition, the outgoing principal, Reverend Dr Nnaemeka, was honoured with a special gift as part of his send-forth.
Nnaemeka expressed his appreciation to the partners, noting the significant impact of the foundation and Oilserve Limited on the school community and its mission.
“This event stands as a testament to the foundation’s unwavering dedication to empowering students and honouring those who contribute to educational progress,” he said.
