Tragedy struck in Lekki, Lagos State, as a 30-year-old lady identified as Cynthia Oguzie lost her life after a water tank collapsed on her.

The news that was shared online by her brother disclosed that the incident happened while Cynthia was asleep in her room.

The heartbreaking incident occurred in the early hours of the day, leaving friends and family in deep shock.

According to Cynthia’s brother, the landlord, who resides abroad, had the house built based solely on images and videos sent to him by the engineer in charge of the project.

The majority speculated that the lady died due to the impact, which must have caused major internal injuries and bleeding.

Angry relatives and community members are now demanding justice and calling for the immediate arrest of both the landlord and the site engineer over alleged negligence.

The case has sparked conversations about building safety and the need for stricter construction oversight in Lagos.

Below are some of the comments;

“I couldn’t bring myself to watch the videos because I can’t take it. It’s a painful way to die; worst of all, out of carelessness due to either weak building materials or planning.”

“Now I understand why my pops insists no tank should be directly above any room. He made sure it’s just towards the dining table and most importantly, where no one sits. I never in my life thought I’ll see something like this.”

“Nothing you fit tell me This thing no be ordinary eyes May her Soul rest in Peace”

“This is unbearably horrible! Now we’ve lost a vibrant young lady! May her soul rest in perfect peace amen“
