… as NYSC Coordinator lauds Gov Mohammed’s commitment towards scheme’s success
A total of 1,368 Corps members, comprising 604 males and 764 females, deployed to Bauchi State, have been successfully registered and sworn in for camping for the 2025 Batch ‘A’ Stream 1 service.
The disclosure was made by the State Coordinator of the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) in Bauchi State, Rifkatu Yakubu, on Friday at the Permanent Orientation Camp in Wailo, Ganjuwa Local Government Area of the state during the swearing-in ceremony of the Corps members.
While addressing the Corps members, the State Governor, Senator Bala Abdulkadir Mohammed, urged them to take the nation’s call to selfless service with utmost seriousness, saying that the future of the country rests on their shoulders.
Represented by the Commissioner for Youths and Sports Development, Adamu Babayo, the Governor said, “You have a crucial role to play in shaping our collective destiny.
“You must not misuse this unique opportunity, and you must fulfill your responsibility to the nation.
“This orientation course marks the beginning of your journey towards greater achievements and future accomplishments.”

“It is designed to familiarize you with the customs and traditions of your host communities.”
He assured them of a conducive environment that will enable them to serve in any part of the state, urging them to feel at home and integrate with the host community.
Speaking earlier, Rifkatu Yakubu lauded Bala Mohammed for his unwavering support for the success of the scheme in the state.
She expressed happiness over the complete renovation of the NYSC permanent orientation camp and the ongoing construction of additional structures at the camp.
“Let me use this opportunity to specially commend Governor Mohammed for his unwavering commitment to the realization of the NYSC objectives in the state.”
“There can be no better demonstration of commitment, love, and fatherly care than what we are seeing in the camp now.
“It is clear for all to see that he is a great lover of the youths and, particularly, the Corps members.”
“On behalf of the management and Corps members in Bauchi State, I wish to thank the Governor for giving the NYSC a befitting camp in Bauchi State,” Rifkatu Yakubu said.
The State Coordinator assured the government and people of the state that the Corps members would continue to provide services where they are most needed, especially in the rural areas.
She informed the Corps members that the orientation course had been designed to equip them physically and mentally for the challenges ahead during and after the service year, urging them to participate actively in all camp activities.
The swearing-in was presided over by the Chief Judge of Bauchi State, Rabi Talatu Umar, who was represented by a High Court Judge, Justice Aminu Umar Illela, who administered the oath on them.
